Building Tourism Excellence in Kutch
Kutch, the largest district of Gujarat and one of the largest in India, is located at the westernmost edge of the country. Following the devastating earthquake in 2001, the Government of Gujarat declared Kutch a Special Economic Zone (SEZ). This led to significant industrial growth and infrastructural development, attracting many national and international companies to establish operations in the region.
In 2004, the government launched the now-famous Rann Utsav in the White Rann of Kutch, which placed Kutch on the global tourism map. Since then, the region has witnessed a substantial increase in tourist footfall from across India and around the world.
Today, Kutch is home to numerous travel and tour operators offering inbound and outbound travel services, catering to the growing needs of leisure, business, cultural, and adventure travelers.
